We are really excited to invite you to our ‘Through Your Eyes’ workshop! it's designed specifically for ladies of any age, to learn about taking more meaningful, fun, and beautiful photos of the special people in their lives!
We’ve got heaps of photography tips to share, camera knowledge to pass on, and perhaps most importantly… we want to inspire you to see your world a little differently. Sometimes the most precious photos to us are not the ones of kids smiling perfectly at the camera, but the ones of them rocking their teddies to sleep, snuggling on Grandma’s lap with a book, or twirling their hair as sleepiness creeps in.
We have a passion for documenting the real-life moments at home, as well as creating stunning portraits of kids. We would love to help you to record childhood in ways that make your heart burst.

Some answers to questions you might have...
IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR ME?
If you’ve got or you know ridiculously cute kids and you want to capture beautiful photos of them, you are welcome at our workshop! We want to help you to get the most out of your camera, to have fun with kids while photographing them, and to recognise the precious little daily moments of childhood that can be beautifully preserved in photos.
DO I NEED PHOTOGRAPHY EXPERIENCE AND FANCY GEAR?
Nope - all you need is to know where the ‘on’ button for your camera is and the rest is up to us! We will be sharing lots of really useful tips and tricks for any camera type, however we will be referring to settings on DSLR’s. So while it’s not essential, having a DSLR (or at least a camera that has the ability to use on a manual mode) would be beneficial to get the most out of this workshop.
HOW WILL THE WORKSHOP BE STRUCTURED?
The workshop is run over two afternoons, on the 27th and 28th May 2017 from 1-5pm! Both days will have a mixture of theory and practical sessions! We've got so much to share, but our workshops are relaxed... there are heaps of opportunities to ask your burning questions and get one-on-one help. We will also break for afternoon tea, because every good workshop needs food.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Your camera! Also, you’ll need memory cards, a fully charged battery and something to write on and with so you don’t miss a thing :) Come prepared to laugh, learn, explore and create.
DO YOU OFFER WORKSHOPS OUTSIDE OF DUNEDIN?
Initially we are offering our workshops in the Dunedin area but hey, who knows what the future holds - we’re open to invitations :) If you've got a group of people interested in your area, let us know!
WHO ARE JUSTINE & KIMBERLEY?
Firstly, we are Mums who know the importance of capturing our children’s personalities and the beautiful, messy, fun, chaotic moments of childhood! But I guess that alone doesn’t qualify us to run a photography workshop… so alongside being mothers, we are both award-winning, professional photographers in Dunedin! We bring two different styles to the table, but both love to tell stories and capture memories for families. We love our jobs, we love to laugh, we love to talk, and we are excited that we can share what we do with you!
‘Through Your Eyes’ was born over coffee and cake one day when we realised we had each separately begun planning a workshop for Mums! Great minds think alike… so we joined forces and designed a workshop to meet the needs of people like you. Viola!
